I have another suggestion on how to do this, if it's of any relevance. Edit the stick. Select the head. Make the circle very small, but leave the thickness alone for now. Now increase the thickness until the head is the size you want it, and fully blocked in. It's less complicated, in my opinion.

I KNOW HOW LOL What you do is... You have a base, but I prefer one with its pivot joint in the exact center, so the fill is in the exact center. What you do is make the head, but instead of a circle, use a line, length 0 and thicken it to a circle, then make is static. Then, make a circle and put it over the circle, and move them both when animating. There.
